Albemarle County is targeting illegal signs, despite the fact that this is technically a state issue.

The Board of Supervisors requested this sign education program in response to the large volume of illegal signs ranging from real estate notices to yard sales to commercial business sales which have cropped up in median strips and along roadways in the county
