I used to tell my teachers (and myself) that I would never use algebra. If I’d only known then … maybe I would have earned better than a “C” once in my life.

Ah, but you’re an engineer. I have a hard enough time with “new math” that this type of math was refreshing.
The ironic part is that those 10 questions amount to more math than I’ve done in 4 months at my job here! But that’s just how it goes in the real world… you learn all of these various disiplines of math and applying math, and in many cases you end up using a very small subset of it. Hopefully, one day I will still retain enough to help any children I may have through calculus.
By the way, the house is going well.
