Whoever decided to put Spring Break in the middle of the spring market was certainly not a Realtor. The juggling act continues will be more interesting this week.

Jim,
I understand you are doing some light blogging but I cam across some interesting numbers about population growth in the area. The 2005 census was released and here are the results for our metro area:
Albemarle is 90,717 from 84,186 in 2000 – growth of 6,531
Fluvanna is 24,751 from 20,047 in 2000 – a growth of 4,704
Greene is 17,418 from 15,244 in 2000 – a growth of 2,174
Nelson is 15,101 from 14,445 in 200 – a growth of 656
Charlottesville is 40,437 from 40,099 a GROWTH of 338
So if you want to escape rapid growth in the area the only places that didn’t grow by over 2,000 over the past 5 years in the area are Nelson and Charlottesville.

Will you please provide a link?
Albemarle grew by about 7% – that’s quite a bit more than the 2% I often hear.
I know that C’ville has been losing population due to affordability and school issues. Nelson and Charlottesville – very interesting.
What about a link for Waynesboro’s population? I am getting ready to enter that market for a variety of reasons (more on this later) and I’m curious …

It’s 7% over 5 years by the way which is similar to the 1.something growth rate in the past.
Stupid math. Thanks!
