I’m curious how many current Charlottesville area residents meet the following criteria, from the Daily Progress:
The recruitment event is for the following occupational specialties: engineering (mathematical, mechanical, chemical and electrical); facilities and logistics; foreign languages (Arabic, Pashtu, Farsi, Dari, Urdu, Russian, Korean, Chinese and Japanese); human capital; intelligence analysis (general military analysis, cyber and technical collection); and science (chemistry, biology, physics, nuclear engineering).
DIA experts and human resource specialists will be on site, to meet those possessing sought-after skills.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Search for Defense Intelligence Agency jobs here; I suspect that the best way to get a job here may still be the old-fashioned way – networking – but who knows? Just make sure to use Internet Explorer.
(hopefully all the Internet Explorers are updated)
My guess is that very few people meet all of those expectations. I agree, networking is probably the only “in” with the DIA, especially if you apparently don’t speak nearly every language in the world.
