I’ve considered something like this as well. Accessory Dwelling Unit regs in Charlottesville are ok by Virginia standards, but this particular house would not be allowed because it’s not set-back far enough from the lot line. In Charlottesville, the entrance is also technically not allowed to be visible from the public ROW, but I guess you could rotate the house 90 degrees.
I had no idea that the entrance isn’t allowed to be visible from the public ROW; is that for the city or the county or both?
