As 2015 starts, I’m representing five buyers who are building four houses with four different builders, with each house currently at different stages of construction, ranging from not-yet-fully-designed to just under roof and dry.
Each buyer is different as each builder is different. But each buyer is building a home and each builder is seeking to deliver a product that the buyers will appreciate, value, and hopefully love for many years.
I’m likely to write about each of these to varying degrees, but thought today was a good time to revisit the words of a client who built a new home three years ago in Charlottesville’s urban ring:
From the perspective of the rest of the world: one random hole in the ground. For our family on February 8, 2012: the greatest looking slice of earth we have ever seen!!!
I value the relationships I have with each of these builders, and these relationships benefit my clients, in ways I have and can enumerate with clients. Charlottesville is a small town; relationships matter.
Representing buyer clients who are building new homes is fun.
Helping my clients make good decisions that will likely impact the rest of their lives … truly a humbling proposition.
It look as if new construction starts are up nationwide. New construction is a healthy gauge of the economy. It is an indication of consumer confidence in the stability of the real estate market. Looking good for us in real estate.
