UVA library and Google

All the time I spent in Alderman Library’s stacks in high school ……  Google will digitize hundreds of thousands of books from the Library, including selected portions of the Library’s American history, literature, and humanities works collections, and make them searchable online through Google Book Search.  With 13 physical locations as well as the original Rotunda, the Library contains more than five million volumes, 17 million manuscripts, rare books and archives, and rapidly-growing digital collections.Ah, Google.  Another (local) step towards mission fulfillment.Google’s mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.
