At the start of every year, Matt Hodges with Presidential Mortgage and I join Rick Moore for a quick hour talking about the Charlottesville real estate market. We’ve followed Rick to I think three different radio stations, and it’s always too short of a show.
tl;dr: homes prices are up, demand is solid, interest rates are nudging up, inventory is low, and great representation is crucial.
The story remains much the same as it has for the past 15 to 18 months: buyer demand across most market segments remains high, and inventory, while rising, remains low. The new report from the Virginia Association of Realtors is pretty good, and it’s linked here.
