What is this blog?

The goal of this site/blog remains unchanged since its founding in January 2005 – to provide clear, coherent, and unbiased analysis of the Charlottesville area real estate market.

I try to provide a unique perspective on the Central Virginia and Charlottesville area real estate market – the perspective of a Realtor (since 2001) , and a long-time resident (~30 years).

Educating real estate consumers (and myself)

If I can educate readers about the Charlottesville/Central Virginia real estate market and, selfishly, gain some business as well – that would be a good thing. Our market is, as all markets are, unique to our local area, with its own idiosyncrasies, issues and challenges. I consider myself an expert on our real estate market and hope that you do too.
